KC Simulcast was founded by a group of local amateur radio operators with a shared vision: create a VHF repeater system that lets hams stay connected across the Kansas City metro without constantly changing frequencies.
Like many operators, we found ourselves switching repeaters or relying on linked systems just to continue a conversation while driving across the city or into the surrounding counties. It interrupted the experience and made everyday operating more complicated than it needed to be. We believed there was a better solution.
That's why we built the KC Simulcast Repeater System.
By combining multiple repeater sites into a synchronized VHF simulcast network, we've created a system that provides seamless, wide-area coverage across the Kansas City region. Whether you're commuting to work, heading to a club meeting, traveling for a public service event, or simply enjoying a drive, you can stay on one frequency and stay connected.
But KC Simulcast is about more than technology—it's about community. Amateur radio has always been about bringing people together, sharing knowledge, lending a hand, and building friendships. Our goal is to provide a dependable system that encourages conversation, supports emergency and public service communications, welcomes new operators, and gives every ham a place to connect.
This system is built and maintained by volunteers who are passionate about amateur radio and committed to serving the Kansas City community. As our coverage and membership continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to provide reliable communications, foster an active and welcoming community, and make it easier than ever for hams across the region to stay connected.
One Frequency. One Community. Connected Across Kansas City.
Hi, I'm Anthony (KCØAMP), a licensed Amateur Radio operator with a passion for RF communications, repeater systems, and serving the amateur radio community.
I'm the founder of the KC Simulcast Repeater System, a project dedicated to providing reliable, wide-area coverage across the Kansas City region. Built on 146.625 MHz, the system is designed to deliver seamless simulcast performance, excellent audio quality, and dependable communications for everyday QSOs, public service events, emergency communications, and technical experimentation.
Amateur radio has given me the opportunity to combine my interests in radio engineering, networking, and system design. I enjoy building and maintaining repeater infrastructure, experimenting with RF technology, and exploring new ways to improve coverage, reliability, and the overall operator experience.
Whether I'm tuning a duplexer, optimizing a simulcast network, or simply enjoying a conversation on the air, I'm committed to helping strengthen the local ham radio community through dependable communications and shared technical knowledge.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to hear you on the KC Simulcast Repeater System. Until then...

Anthony – KCØAMP
